Mercy Church

Mercy Community Church is a small organic, community church that started in 2005. It is a church on a mission, a place where people living in housing, and those who do not, come together to work and make the world a better place. We seek to make the beautiful and difficult task of loving one another—as messy as it may be—to form true, honest, authentic, welcoming community.

Open Door Community

The Open Door Community is a residential community in the Catholic Worker tradition (we’re sometimes called a Protestant Catholic Worker House). We seek to dismantle racism, sexism and heterosexism, abolish the death penalty, and proclaim the Beloved Community through loving relationships with some of the most neglected and outcast of God’s children: the homeless and our sisters and brothers who are in prison.

We serve breakfasts and soup-kitchen lunches, provide showers and changes of clothes, staff a free medical clinic, conduct worship services and meetings for the clarification of thought, and provide a prison ministry, including monthly trips for families to visit loved ones at the Hardwick Prisons in central Georgia.

Grace United Methodist Church is a vibrant community of faith in the heart of Atlanta. Centered in Jesus Christ, we strive to have open hearts through mission and justice, open minds through critical inquiry and faith formation, and open doors by welcoming all.

Our vision is: To FEED our surrounding community, spiritually and physically, while REACHING outward with God’s love and intentionally WELCOMING all in the name of Christ
