Why I joined: I saw the need for helping shelters in Atlanta through my involvement in Volunteer Emory and I wanted to have a more direct impact.

Treasurer- Olivia Morgan

My name is Olivia Morgan and I am a Junior in the College from Brooklyn, NY majoring in Psychology/Linguistics and minoring in Sociology. I joined CKE my sophomore year and I am passionate about food security, sustainability, and public health. I love to travel, bake, hang out with my friends and explore the Atlanta food scene. 
 
Fun Fact: I got a tattoo while I was studying abroad in Samoa on a dare.

Cooking Coordinator – Tsion Horra

Hi, My name is Tsion Anbessa Horra and I am a senior studying Environmental Sciences and Sustainability. As the Dining Relations Coordinator, my responsibility includes working with our Emory Dining partners, as well as the Cooking Shift Coordinator and the Delivery Shift Coordinator to schedule and run pick-up shifts.

I love early morning hikes, playing soccer, and eating Ethiopian food whenever possible.

Fun fact: After graduating from high school I took a bridge year to live, study spanish, and work in Ecuador. While there, I once ate a guinea pig with my Kichwa host family.

Most likely can be found: making a fool of myself, or procrastinating my most important schoolwork with less important schoolwork

Silly fun fact: i have a scar on my nose because when i was four i walked behind my brother playing tennis and i got a backswing to the face, its ok though because i must have gotten like 20 Hot Wheels cars to make me feel better. Worth it.

Volunteer and Member Coordinator – Julia Mulliez

My duties include:

·      coordinating volunteer schedules and making sure cooking and delivery shifts run smoothly

·      ensuring that each shift has sufficient volunteers

·      keeping track of volunteer names and number of volunteers we have

·      planning GBMs, sending out application forms and being the liaison between students and the CKE Exec Board

Education Coordinator – Anisha Verma

My name is Anisha. I am very funny and hate food waste. The way to my heart is through Indian food, apples, and bananas.

Naomi is a Senior at Emory who loves coffeeshops, being in the rain and anything to do with the ocean. She started CKE her freshman year and has adopted it as her child ever since. You’ll typically find her eating macaroni and cheese and laying in the grass somewhere.
